Since I was 16 I have been loyal to one foundation, and that is the MAC studio fix fluid. Lately, I haven’t really been liking the consistency and coverage that it was giving me, so I made an irrational decision to try something new. In those uncontrollable moments when you realise it’s pay day and you haven’t bought yourself anything exciting in a week, sometimes you make irrational decisions. I however, did not.
So tomorrow I have my first day of university orientation, or as everyone except me seems to call it “O-Week”. I’m not going to lie, I’m a little nervous, but then every time I think I’m nervous I remember that I don’t actually have any classes, and just have a “welcome lecture” and then I’m finished by 11am…
One thing that has been on my mind since I got into university is that I need to buy things specifically for uni, such as basic tops, another pair of jeans/pants, and maybe another jacket or two, not to mention a pair of black converse and flat boots…
So far, out of that whole list I have purchased a black Agent Ninteynine tote bag from General Pants, and a Marc by Marc Jacobs cosmetics case… I obviously needed a plain tote bag for school considering i’ll need a bag that’s big enough to carry books, my laptop and an iPad, while also versatile enough to use every day with any outfit. The cosmetics case on the other hand was an impulse buy after deciding that I needed a case to carry essentials in the event that I needed to touch up after a long day or if I was in a rush and didn’t get a chance to put on/finish my makeup routine. I work at David Jones for Mimco and therefore am located in the contemporary handbags department, and various Marc by Marc Jacobs items were on the counter and after a long shift, I couldn’t help myself!
In the edit above I have tried to be a little creative with potential outfits that I can wear to uni; who says that school attire has to be boringly casual? Did we learn nothing from NYFW street style?!

There is nothing about this look that I wouldn’t wear. I was actually quite proud of the sophistication that radiates from this edit! I’m going to try to bring this look to life in the near future, and I cannot wait for the day to come! This neutral look literally has me yearning to purchase every piece and wear it every day for the next two years (all practicality aside, of course)
As a side note, I’m also looking for every excuse to purchase the Urban Decay Naked2 palette, and the idea of this gorgeous form fitting, city chic look is making the temptation really really hard to resist!

Compare the pair: One is black, the other is white, both are so chic, elegant and sophisticated!
They are essentially the same outfit; pencil skirt, crop top, finished with a biker style jacket. The only difference being the shade they are in.
Motivating? Oh yeah.
I’m just happy that I can tick off the Topshop Jeans, the Tiffany necklace and the Real Techniques cosmetic brushes!

I have literally been obsessed with Ashley Benson’s look that she wore to a friend’s wedding.
Not only did the photos bring back some serious “Haleb” feels, but we all realised that Miss Benson doesn’t just look awesome on Pretty Little Liars, but has her own amazing style outside of filming!
Ashley Benson has been popping up on some major fashion radars, as she has created a collection for H&M Divided, which, judging by photos, looks incredible!
Ashley says that the looks are inspired by her own personal style and her love for high waisted skirts, skinny jeans and loose tops.
Looking at the collection, there is a lot of trend pieces, and a lot of mesh, which has me very excited! There is also a lot of stripes, simple prints, and combinations of black and white.
Ashley Benson is on a roll, and you can get her look here: Get The Look: Ashley Benson

I love everything about every piece I’ve used in this edit! I began with the Chanel denim espadrilles, and chose a striped top to match!
From there, I decided that navy would be the colour for the accessories. I’ve become extremely obsessed with navy, because it’s a rare colour that people wouldn’t normally consider when styling.
A lot of people say that you shouldn’t mix black and navy, but really, if Givenchy can do it, we can do it too!
One final thing; The 3.1 Phillip Lim croc bag… Enough said.
